THE MESSAGE:
The Fool is a card that resonates with the attributes and vibrations of number 0. It usually is positioned at the beginning of the Major Arcana but can be either at the beginning or the end as it depicts our learning experience through life from beginning to end. Often, our learning experiences and adventures are fraught with mistakes and mishaps and it is part of our lessons to overcome these obstacles in order to evolve.

The Fool signifies one's potential and abilities. Embarking on his journey toward self-knowledge, the Fool is at the same time adventurous and fearful, seemingly open to all possibilities, yet apparently unaware of the dangers that appear in front of him along the way. At the end of his journey the Fool has learned life's lessons and is aware of his place in the world and in one with himself.

The Fool is sometimes known as the ‘Mad Man’. The Fool represents a carefree, relaxed and open attitude and suggests the abilities to live day-by-day without worrying about the future. The Fool also signifies child-like qualities such as trust and spontaneity.

The message of The Fool is to fear nothing. The Fool is well aware that he is Divinely guided and is always protected. He has a fresh innocence, free to go wherever he desires. Free of fear, he truly knows himself and experiences all of his past existence.

The Fool shows no fear of the dangers ahead as he keeps his gaze cast above.

Be prepared to start your day with ‘new’ and not the fears of yesterday. This will help you to ‘know thy self’.

The Fool often depicts a person who takes risks in life and often struggles with their ego.

The Fool is sometimes seen as a ‘dreamer’. The Fool card often depicts a person who may be naïve, and who is just beginning ‘Life’s Journey’.

On the highest level, The Fool can be in touch with the highest energies. On the lower level, The Fool often chooses to have a great deal of moral blindness. The Fool has a tendency to live in the world of matter (materialism), often leaving the spiritual essence behind.

The task of the Fool is to help others (as well as himself) build a strong foundation.

The Fool stands for each of us as we embark on a new stage in our lives.

The Fool has the desire to achieve goals, but must be careful to make the right choices.

The Fool has a direct link with the highest forces in the Universe, and is gifted with a clear channel of connection.

With the Fool’s influence you are being given the abilities and tools to be able to break free from old ties and habits. The Fool’s influence allows you to be a non-conformist or an ‘individual’. The Fool depicts a sudden awakening or epiphany, and freedom in truth.

The Fool card is linked with the planet Pluto, which is the planet of ‘hidden things’. Because of this there may be issues or circumstances that are not clear or are happening behind the scenes. You are asked to work towards your goals regardless, with faith that your choices will be the correct ones.

The number 0 symbolizes ‘Eternity’. It represents wholeness, oneness and continuing cycles. 0 is Alpha (beginning) and Omega (the Highest), as there is no beginning and no end. All is infinite. In reference to the Fool, 0 is considered to represent the beginning of a spiritual journey and highlights uncertainties.

The Ancients proclaimed that the ‘God force’ is a circle whose centre is everywhere and it’s circumference is nowhere.

All numbers with the number 0 puts one closer to the ‘God force’ or energy.

  2. I wish you would include what it means when the Fool pairs with any of the other cards! When I went to the pips to see, by chance, if it shows what a combination (including the Fool) might mean, I found there were none (at least, not for any of the cards I drew in the reading). I _LOVE_ your sight by the way! It helps add such deeper dimensions to my readings! :)

  3. Hi when the fool in reversed position is placed under the environment or outside influences does it mean that the external world is going through the effects of the fool in reversed? Or do the querent see the external world as a fool in reversed without participation?
